It's good to know that everyone got something they could use.

Just bought the new Ari Hest cd Story After Story. Its a good album. For those that don't know, Ari Hest is a sing songwriter from New York. Saw him open for the Clarks and again with Carbon Leaf. I highly recommend it.

Today, I picked up two Who albums:
Who's Next (Deluxe Edition, has loads of supplemental material, not that the album needs any. Still, extras are nice. The 5.1 mix rocks.) Quadrophenia (The 1996 reissue with cleaned up sound and 5.1 compatibility. Yay!)
There's not much to say about these albums, except that if you don't have them, you should get them. I can't listen to LPs in the car, and they did a really good job of cleaning up the sound on these for the CD releases. Highly Recommended.

Bought the Incubus this weekend- A Crow Left of the Murder. It's not bad, but certainly one of their weaker albums. There are a couple gems, but unfortunately a good deal of the middle part of the album kinda all runs together. I might write a full review later.

I just bought the new Starsailor album. I really enjoyed the first one because it has a pretty good mix, and it was very original sounding. But the new album is pretty crappy

I bought the power of failing by Mineral. Mineral is four pizza boys from Austin Texas who got together and made some of the most powerful music I've heard and then broke up. Whiny at times but still I really like it.

I bought two albums a while ago at that used CD place you recommended, Author. Unfortunately there were a lot of things I was looking for that they did not have, but considering how cheap everything was there, I felt obliged to buy something. So I picked up "Louder Than Love" by Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog's self-titled album. "Louder Than Love" was pretty disappointing, but the Temple of the Dog album kicks ass.

Combat Rock is, in my opinion, the Clash's most disappointing album.

I got three CDs today- "The Uplift Mofo Party Plan" by the Chili Peppers, John Frusciante's solo album "Shadows Collide with People", and the latest Jane's Addiction album "Strays."
Despite the fact that I was looking for an old Chili Peppers album, and the other were just impulse buys because they were cheap, I'm actually very impressed with all of them.
Chili Peppers was just what I'd expect from their earlier stuff, and I already knew a couple songs like "Fight Like a Brave." It's all the punk-funk I'd expect to hear. John Frusciante's stuff is better than I thought it would be. And the Jane's Addiction album fucking rocks.
