Thought we needed a concert board.
I just saw Howie Day in concert. Wow. Even after his arrest he was fucking amazing. He did a good mix of material from his two albums and added a whole new dimension with the addition of a band (they jammed a lot). Great band, great energy with a great venue that served free beer.

Speaking of Howie Day, I just found out that he's going to be one part of my college's spring concert, along with the Roots! Kick ass!

Power to future Borders cashiers indeed! (joke) Yes it sucks, but what I want to do in the future for some reason requires a lot of dilutions and chemical equations and such.
Ben Kweller and Death Cab For Cutie are playing here the 20th. I am going no matter what comes up.

Well the lineup for the HFStival this year sucks ass, so I don't think I'm going. While I would kind of like to see the Violent Femmes or the Offspring (well, i would've like to see the Offspring about 5 or 6 years ago, at least) it's not worth suffering through Jay-Z and Papa Roach and P.O.D. and New Found Glory to do so. Damn, I'm disappointed.

Well the Roots rocked my fucking socks off last night. Very, very good performance. It blew away when I saw them last summer. Especially the blues solo the guitarist did. Holy crap, I nearly shat myself.
Howie Day opened for them. He was alright. I was glad that he played a very different version of "Perfect Time of Day," a version that I actually liked. (The radio version sucks) Also glad that he ended with "Morning After," my favorite song by him. Nevertheless, I was hardly blown away. Maybe he just played too much new stuff, or maybe he's better when he's the main act.

For those of you who do like ska, which I don't think many of you do, you NEED to see Big D And The Kids Table. First of all, their lead singer looks like Dana Carvey. They have some of the best stage presence I've ever seen, and are really intense. They put on a great show, and really involve the crowd. I've seen them 4 times in the last two months, and they get better every time. Just thought I should share them with you all, if for some reason anyone is interested.

You're right, Big D is an incredible band. Where are they playing?
Oh, and I'm going to be seeing what Mr. White would call a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover band, as well as Ben Folds and Guster.

Goddamn Skynyrd. It's like if after Hendrix died his half brother went around performing as Jimi Hendrix. Sherman, I thought you wanted to be a Rock God in the future so I fail to see where chemistry comes in. As for Howie maybe he had an off night. Or maybe it was all the weed and booze that made him great...
